About the Harbour Tours

A harbour tour is a fun activity for everyone! Head out to sea with your family and friends for 90 minutes on the water, as you listen to stories of local history, observe otters, seals, and jellyfish in their natural habitat, and watch eagles, herons, and cormorants soar overhead or dive for fish.

The harbour tours start from Ladysmith Fishermen's Wharf and tour Ladysmith Harbour for approximately 90 minutes. The tours are by appointment only (see below for details).

About the Vessel

The C.A. Kirkegaard  is a fully-restored and maintained 29-foot passenger boat built in 1947 and operated by qualified LMS Volunteers.

Safety

At all times, the safety of our volunteers and patrons is paramount. It is important to us that passengers feel comfortable, safe and relaxed during harbour tours.

Our tour boat operators are certified tour boat skippers and our deckhands have many years of experience on the water. All skippers and deckhands are certified in marine first-aid. The C.A. Kirkegaard is equipped with all safety equipment mandated by Transport Canada. Our tour boat operators are also empowered to deny transportation to individuals or groups who could cause safety concerns for crew and passengers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The wearing of the supplied life jackets is mandatory for all passengers and crew while aboard the Kirkegaard.

Rate

$30 per person - *$200 minimum*

10 passenger maximum

Our 90 Minute Ladysmith Harbour Tours from Ladysmith Fishermen's Wharf are by appointment only.

BOOKING:  Send an email to admin@lmsmarina.ca, with your preferred dates and times (we recommend providing several dates and times). NOTE: You must include your first and last name and phone number, and the first and last names of all your guests.

PAYMENT: You will be notified when your booking is confirmed. Once you receive your confirmation, send an eTransfer to accounting@lmsmarina.ca.
NOTE: It's important that you include your first and last name and "Harbour Tour" and the harbour tour date in the Message area of the eTransfer.
