The Copper Canyon Band takes their audiences through the 60’s &
70’s, recreating their favourite songs in Old Country and Early Rock
N Roll music.  In a lively show, they are proud to bring you timeless
wonders from artists like Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Roy Orbison, The
Mavericks, The Beach Boys, The Everly Brothers, Dwight Yoakam, The
Beatles and a very special tribute to the King of Rock N Roll himself,
Elvis Presley!  Music to suit everyone’s taste that will have you
either tapping your feet or dancing from the very first song to the
last one!

August 4th: Cesar Medina

A veteran of folk festivals and concert stages, Mark Wonneck is a
gifted song-writer, story-singer, singer-of-songs, story-teller…all
the combinations.  He is probably best known as Larry Douglas, one
half of the folk-comedy duo, The Douglas Brothers, who emerged out of
Winnipeg onto the folk scene in the late eighties.  While he still
likes to perform as a Douglas Brother whenever he can, more recently
he has developed a well-earned reputation as a captivating and
insightful solo performer.  His songs can be tender, goofy, intense,
thought-provoking and gritty – sometimes all at once.  Audiences can
expect to laugh, cry, remember things they’ve long forgotten, and in
the end wonder when they will be able to hear him again.

September 1st: Terry Boyle & Ceilidh Briscoe

“Americana meets fingerstyle guitar”

Take the musical traditions of Folk, Bluegrass, country and let them
simmer over a few dozen Canadian winters, add a little virtuoso
woodshed fingerstyle guitar, lyrics from life, and you have Joe
Stanton.  From the World Fingerpicking championships in Kansas, to ski
resorts of Switzerland, festivals across North America, coffee houses,
concerts, bars, trains and even a hot air balloon.  Joe has been
playing his Martin D28 “wherever they’ll listen”.  His genres range
from Bluegrass, to contemporary folk, to alt country.  These days you
can find Joe working on his next recording, livestreaming on the world
wide web, performing around his home on the Sunshine coast of BC, and
touring the West Coast, from Vancouver Island to Washington and
Oregon.

July 21 2023 : Copper Canyon Band

Cesar Medina, is a Mexican-born musician and artist who resides on the
Bay of Banderas in Nayarit, MX.   Cesar is a sought-after guitar
player and singer of pop rock, blues and country in both English and
his native Spanish, performing original works as well as cover songs
from artists such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Otis Redding and Garth
Brooks.  His guitar and vocals resonate when he performs in the style
of Flamenco guitar and Spanish ballads.  He is happy to be returning
to Canada and doing a tour of Vancouver Island.

August 18th: Mark Wonneck

Terry Boyle is a much traveled singer/songwriter from Dublin,
Ireland and lives on Vancouver Island..  With a vast repertoire of
Celtic songs, some teary, some cheery, some sing-along and some from
the archives, Terry has a song or story for almost every occasion.  As
a songwriter Terry’s style is varied, evolving and always
entertaining. Using a variety of tunings and finger-pickings, his
songs are both autobiographical and descriptive of both past and
present._Ceilidh Briscoe is _from Victoria, BC, a five time North
American Fiddle Champion, an All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, and has
studied for six years with the fabulous 5 time All-Ireland Champion,
Brian Conway.  Ceilidh is proud to have performed in Ireland, the UK,
Scandinavia, Germany, China, and across North America with the world
renowned “Riverdance”.

Last year they presented an unforgettable evening of Celtic music and songs interspersed with humour and Terry’s original compositions. This year they look forward to another sold out show and to engaging you with their dynamic jigs, reels and the occasional far fetched story.
