The LMS Community Marina is the first marina on your port side as you enter Ladysmith Harbour. You can call our wharfinger at 250-245-1146 to let him know you're coming, or you can contact him on VHF 66A. You'll find self-registration envelopes at the kiosk on your way to the ramp.

We are a popular stop for traveling boaters. We have expanded and greatly improved our docks and visitor services - and we are located right below the Town of Ladysmith, within an easy walk from a broad range of services. You will find our rates are very competitive - just $1.25 per foot for the first night and one dollar for subsequent nights.

There are complete washroom and laundry facilites up at the top parking lot. Block and cube ice are available right on the docks in the summer months and pocket books can be exchanged at the registration kiosk where you will find all sorts of local information and a map of the town.

The train station is nearby, and the Ladysmith transit Trolley stops right at the marina for convenient service around town.

Some comments from our visitors

  • Great Place - we love Ladysmith

  • Loved it!

  • Thank you - Enjoyed the museum, friends and atmosphere

  • We want to compliment your Dock Master, Mark. He was pleasant, welcoming and very helpful with our generator problem. Your Marina deserves an A+. Thank you - Seattle.

  • Mark made our stay the highlight of our ten-day cruise in the Gulf Islands. Best regards - Sidney.

  • And here's one from the skipper of the well-known touring schooner Maple Leaf:

    Hello Mark,

It's Kevin here from the schooner Maple Leaf.

We appreciated your hospitality in October when we stopped in at the LMS Community Marina during our "Tall Sails and Ales" trip. The marina is very well cared for and the museum is great, too. I know that Greg Evans, the executive director of the Maritime Museum of BC who was with us on the trip, enjoyed his quick tour through your museum.

And Maple Leaf felt right at home with the other heritage vessels there.

We'd like to make stopping at the LMS Community Marina a part of our next Tall Sails and Ales trip in October 2010, too (here is a link to the page that describes the trip: www.mapleleafadventures.com/our_trips/tallsailsales-beertour.php)

Thanks again for your warm welcome.

    Capt. Kevin Smith
