Hello!

We would like to introduce an exciting new waterfront community project. Ladysmith's Maritime Society has been successful in securing major funding to build a community visitors reception centre. This structure will include public indoor and outdoor spaces. Anticipated uses include meetings, and community and social functions. This is like a public park, floating on the water! Previously secured funding will build much of the concrete barge and walkways however we are seeking support from the local community to contribute to outfitting the facilities and making them truly a part of Ladysmith.

Finishing touches include some major elements as well as smaller items. We are attaching a brochure and a list of our identified needs. We are writing today to ask if you would be willing to provide support and/or financial assistance. We welcome financial donations large and small and you may wish to specify where your donation is directed. The Ladysmith Maritime Society is a charitable organization so tax receipts may be available.
