The New LMS Visitor Reception Centre
Construction is under way for a wonderful new Visitor Reception Centre on the LMS docks. The project will provide a 2,100 sq ft building which will include lots of great amenities designed for locals and visitors alike.

The new centre will provide hospitality and meeting space, showers, washrooms. laundry and a special events area for hosting community functions as well as boaters' rendezvous gatherings.
Wi-Fi Internet access will also be provided, along with a 600-volt electrical upgrade for the marina, as well as a sewage pump-out system. A new ramp is being provided - part of the accessibility improvements for wheelchairs, carts and increased foot traffic .

This parklike facility will provide a community social centre for meetings, barbecues, family celebrations, evening walks and the enjoyment of our harbour's beauty.
Visiting boaters attracted to the new facilities will spend money in the community - this improved marine tourism has an economic impact in the range of $1 million per season.
